Welcome to the Fashionable and wonderful life of RIVIERA, an Australian grown and manufactured online destination for all things fashion, beauty, style and travel. My name is Emily Smith and this is my creative process to my favourite fashion picks. I believe in dedication and always keeping a positive mindset to achieve, alongside a killer outfit by doing so we are able to have our very own creative differences and show our voice through what we choose to wear every single day.
Here on the site RIVIERA you can expect to find everything from my own creations such as my personal style and productions, to a little vlogging | blogging of my top tips, travel and life as a fashion student in Melbourne, Australia. When you consider RIVIERA, you'll be able to see thought out and beautifully curated style guides and my very own styling choices to inspire your own fashionable self.
Allow me to introduce myself. I am a young, fresh out of high school eighteen year old with a motivation for a fresh start in the big smoke with several overflowing suitcases. I left Port Macquarie, New South Wales to embark on a move that will ultimately change my life for the better and to follow my aspirations.

I arrived, settled in and found myself making the journey everyday to Whitehouse Institute of Design to study Fashion Design and further my qualifications. About two terms into studying here in Australia, I was provided the opportunity to study in England, UK. I leaped at the chance to study in such a foreign place and expand my horizons further than what I had currently come to know so well. I discovered blogging more so when I was living overseas as it was much more frequent and known. I began to consider how I could make my own individual impact on the fashion industry and the form of blogging seemed like a great outsource. Through shopping and as my style began to change and become more concise, I realised I was beginning to idolise other bloggers and Youtube influencers.

I loved the idea of vlogging and blogging the going ons in people's lives and found it interesting how some could share so much in a single day. I considered ways I could make a difference, especially in the content I provide. Soon after I also began using such platforms to post my own Instagram photos and videos, especially looking at how being a fashion student can be interpreted. I feel as though once I was able to find my own voice and opinion within the industry, I was ultimately able to create strong imagery, also paying attention to detail and content.

Since landing back in Australia, I purchased a vlogging camera with a flip up view finder (I did my research), watched countless and countless vlogs on Youtube (when I should most definitely have been sewing), and decided to give the notion a good crack, whilst setting up my very own fashion platform. This platform had originally started as a way to vocalise my opinions and sense of style, slowly became something that I dedicate my time too.
